9th Dec Kampung Gajah Track Day Pictures And Videos

The Fun Begins!!!
We had our breakfast and the BC Machine guys that convoy from Bukit Mertajam was already half way there.

Tan was there early to sought out some gremlins on his Perdana,He intercepted their arrival....an hour early!!

He paged me through their PTT( Maxis Push To Talk) Chanel that I shud go there asap.I helped by telling them that they shud have fun..but must adhere to the rules that was stated in TK's blog.

-Helmets.
- No smoking in the track,
-passing signals
- basic proper sitting and steering .
-only one passenger allowed .

if you guys wanna learn proper car control technic...I highly recomends that you guys join the High Perfomance Events.

As for newbies that came along with them.. Tan suggest that previous outing participant sits with them and roughly tell them the lines at a slow 5laps ,stricly no overtaking. And they themself agrees that the newbie goes in among them.

As for those who driven in the track before...they agree that they won't be driving whenever the newbies are in.....cool bunch.!

Peng's and the guys came an hour after that...he came with his Subaru Verison 7.His colleuge also tag along...both of them from Smart Car club from the Central Region.

Here's the pictures...passing thru the Grandstand.

My brother's E36 328i M.

Jay Kang's Perdana E2 M

Peng from KL with his Scoobies.....Dude,I hate you now! Why did you let me drive ur car?? Now i'm crazy over Scoobies....hehe!

Andrew in Honda EG6 and Calven Toyota Vios

hehe...my brother again.

Here's Fasso...with his Toyota 4AGZE AE86 front cut.He just recently installed the Hankook RS2 tyres n the front and keeps complaining that his car gott no grip on the rear tyres....bah!!! I told you so...the Hankook are grippy!

TK is a very kind man...he ask Kenneth Smart Roadster to park in his place.

We had stop for lunch and prayers ...everybody was hungry .
But the good fun really starts after that...its rained. Tougeking went out with his friends....I can't resist,I joined them in my Starlet trying to drift.Almost evrybody joined...even my brother

Look at TK's Toyota....the rear wheel actually lifted off the ground!!! Awesome.!!!

Here's the best picture...too bad,the stands barrier was in the way.*sigh*

A newbie from KL...Jeff from California, who came with his Brother In Law. I met him at HPC last month in Sepang Circuit during the HPC events.Julian, the HPC Chief instructor ask me about Jeff's E30 that surging in corners...and always spun whenever exiting corners.

I found out that his throttle body springs are tension are hard...I loosen it a round and wahla!!!! The car is back....more easierto drive.
Here's a pictures of me driving his car trying to figure out his problems...HArd on accelerator and spuns easily. Damn...His E30 looks sexy from behind.

Here's Clement's MME Track car....Lau Hia and Tan trying to give chase during the rain...and the MME driver was way too good for them. They couldn't even catch up.

BC Machine guy....Lau Hia,damn daring driver. A bit of Ah Beng tho.

and here's my Starlet in action.

But of all the pictures that my son snapped....I wonder what the hell are the girls thinking about.

I find it cute...my daughter disturbing somebody's girlfriend. haha..

It was a fun weekend...evcerybody had fun. They drove on dry track...then when TK went crazy drifting ,heck! even me joinning him and the rest joined in.

I had a minor problems too...the clips for my clutch cable broke ! I drove for almost 3 laps without clutch...oh well,a good time for me to practise my cluthless shifting.
I lost it when I was trying to drift but I spun then the engine dies ,Henry the BC Machine mechanics fixed my problem by adding a hose clips .The videos is still in
the hands of the BC Machine guys up north. Awaiting the cds from them....! quik guys....I can't wait.

We finish off our track day at almost 6pm...while everybody was packing up to go.The hornbills decides to dropby to bid goodbye.

No doubt it was a fun weekend driving in Kampung Gajah track...but for those who's interested to know the limit of your car..and learn car controls.By all mean...please have a look at the HPC events. TK and me were merely helping friends to book a date in Kampung Gajah and not as a competitors to HPC events.Whom we've learned so much and respect !!
Who knows,I might ask the HPC Management to book the track for its instructors Alvin,Brian...Kenny???? Call me Zoggee at 1-800-Come la Scared ah!!?

Cheers guys..

here's the picture of Tan countering the oversteering situation.

More of Tan with his Perdana will be posted soon...

As we( Tan and Andrew) check in to the resort,we went cooling off in the swimming pool.Andrew , as usual with his funny acts, pointed to the wild hornbills that hanging and playing on a tree right infront of our chalet. I'm sure OSflanker( Wei Li) will love the picture.
The resort is quite affordable,RM157 for two days one night, for a two rooms chalet inclusives of breakfast for 2 and children below 7 years old are free.
I shared the chalet with Tan and Andrew with their girlfriends...and paid rm4 per head for breakfast,hey..thats really cheap!

Look at the hornbills and ...yeah guess who's on the rocking chair.LOL It's Andrew!!!

It was the engineers that built the cars.

This is the sole reason why I drive BMWs....In 70s BMW has the engineers to built the car to win races. Now,Engineers are told to built a car for BMW to sell in the market and for the races. I love the 70s era where they were developing the the M10 engine which won a lot of races and still winning races till now.Until they ...gave the Porcshe a goods run for their money in the North America.Until they came up with the turbocharged 1000bhp F1 cars that stunned the F1 scene at that time . I read about it on Total BMW Magazine. I wish I can scan it and post it up here...but can't recall where I stashed the it.

Well,TK,Yeap....here's for you two.
Teh E34...aaahhhhh!!! I love it more the the E39 and the latest E60.No doubt they are good. But...E34 will always have a special place in my garage,If I can afford to have a garage.lol
The M30 Chain drives, a.k.a. " The Big Six"

The engine was an upgraded version engine from legendary car from M1...I heard that there's only one in Malaysia...somewhere in a Palace in Pahang.

Wanna know how an M1 race breed car sound like??

This is the closest I can get to the Mi Race car... whoa!!!!!! Had the previllage of seeng he car in person last year when BMW brought their Heritage car here in Malaysia during the F1...it's much more worth while then watching F1 that year.

BMW are not stupid...I've learned the hard way...I spent more then RM12K modding my M20 engine. Just to get anuder extra 30NM of torques and 20horsepower...for what??Still,it's not even a match for the BMW S14 Motorsports engine. But then again..thats another stories.

As for now...I'll be happy to get any car that are reliable and can get me from A to B no matter the distance. I can only dream..

Cruel Animal World.

My cat gave birth two 3 kittens, one of them died naturally.I was about to post in a forum to give away the kittens. Not that I don't like them.I love cats...I love dogs too.

My kittens are cute..but i couldn't believe that the kitten's own father killed one of them.!!!
I know cats are territiorial but why killing one of their own? Just because he wants to mate again with the mom.? I am accepting the facts that animal life is not simple.

See how cute they are...they are beginning to recognise me.I would play and cuddle them when they are suckling.

It looks like I have to lookout for the father which killed one of them.I'm gonna catch it and throw far away from my kittens.
What shcked me the most was...it happened right behind me. Heard the kitten screams like they were fighting(thats common when kitten plays. But when it fell to the floor...I saw it's neck was busted with blood and kicking non stop and the eyes still open....it's a horrible sight.

I waited for about 2 minutes for it to settled down(die)Chased the father away...the other kitten ran away,Don't know where it is know.*sigh*
I'm definately gonna hunt down the father...gonna trap him and throw it away.I'm not gonna kill it, gonna let the cycle of life takes it own path.

Here's the poor kitten...Although I'm sad,I guess it's time is done.

My wife was scared to look at it.I'm used to it.But I still feel sad that it had benn killed rather then die naturally.

I took it out and buried her just opposite my office..

Hopes that she rest in peace..may she reincarnated to a better being in the next life.

Beautiful Counrty Roads

My worker/driver invited me to his wedding at Felda Tersang, roughly about 30km from Raub,Pahang.I promised him that I will attend his wedding.

My car broke down due to worn out steering coupling and engine mounts. So I leave the car at workshop.
A friend, who migrated to USA let me use his sister's( also migrated there ) Proton Savvy AMT for me to use for the weekends.

My journey to Felda Tersang starts at Sunday 10 am.We packed and went for my favourite Penang Curry mee at Restoran 99 in Amamn Puri,Kepong.Yummy!!!Ordered one for me and one for my wife...plus extra bowl of blood jelly made out of pigs's blood.

The Extra Blood Jelly...

The drive from Gombak towards Bentong toll was quite smooth actually. The Savvy also didn't dissapoint me...it handles well uphill and down hill. The fun starts after Bentong town towards Raubs.
TK,Here's the strecth...powerful cars would love it.

Sunny blue sky and long strecthes....from Bentong towards Raub.

This is the turn off from Raub to Cheroh town before reaching Falda Tersang.
The roads reminds me of the 80s where skies are always blue...not many cars on the roads.

The stretch close to Felda Tersang..

will post the video soon

My worker seems to be very happy that I finally arrvie at his wedding...we were serve the Kenduri , kampung style. The Gotong Royong style( Where villagers will come and help from setting up the Kelamin(Wedding Stage),Tents for guess and cooks for the feast...I want my son to expereince himself of Malay Wedding.I told him that the Groom and Bride will the King Of the Day.I told him about the custumes that the groom traditional dress...like the Baju Melayu,Songket,Tenggolok and the Keris.
The Kelamin...(Stage)where guess of honor would Menepung Tawar the palms of the wedding couple. Then the Hantaran and Mas Kahwin.

The Newly Wed...

The Hantaran...from the Groom.

Surprisingly the Felda Tersang is quite huge...and what surprises me was that there is a Petrol Kiosk in the settlement.I had to top up the petrol and hey...they even accept credit card payment.!!

The road exiting to out of the Felda Settlement also nice...I couldn't resist.I had to stop and snap a few pictures.
Under the tree..

The fun starts only on the way back...Here's the milestone of the journey backto Kuala Lumpur.

Leaving the Felda Tersang...

Since it's only 2pm and still early,Raub town is just about 30 minutes drive. My wife ask me to turn in to Fraser Hill via Raub Town. That's when the fun starts...I called TK,Told him that the roads here are beautiful and superb.
The strecth from Raub up to Fraser Hill is about 40.5km..cos I reset my trip meter.Twisties...trees and hill ravines and on 23.9 km uphill of the road we saw a roadkill. A carcarse of a python.

Hey TK, Look at the greens...cool wind blowing all the time.I turn off the air condition and enjoy the breeze air.Very refreshing
Can't believe myself that I can still find a place where we can enjoy driving without A/C off.I parked to snapped this picture for you,TK.

Refreshing stop...

haha...I stopped for a ciggie break la TK. LOL

At the turn in uphill...9km uphill but with a narrow one way road.

The drive up from here is slow..cos there are a few cars infront that are slow.Too narrow for me overtake them. After sometime,we finally arrived uphill. It's even cooler up there. The buildings there are beauiful, some are built from the colonial days.
Even the Bus Stop caught my attention.

The greens and the house...man!!! I wish I can afford to buy a plce like this.

I drives my family crusing around town, there 's nothing much there but it is a nice place to stay and relax. But time is not on ourside...it's near afternoon.I couldn't find a restaurant to hangout. Was trying to get my fix( Nescafe),I'm a coffe addict! We stayed about 30 minutes and my wife reminds me that we still got another wedding to go in KL town.
The downhill drive is much safer...one way but two lane down. It's roughly about 9km down hill drives until reaching another turn off to Kuala Kubu Bahru. From there on...the road are even more nicer to drive...I think TK will go crazy over the roads here.
I told my wife that we will be passing thru a brigde that quite high...where I went whitewater rafting with Wei Li and a group of fanatic rock climbers a while back.

As we are out of the mountain roads...heading towards KL via Federal Road Route 1 KL bound.
My wife ask me to droipby the Ulu Yam Lama town...she's drooling over the dish that she can't stop thinking of.It's really nice..
The Nai Yau Kam Heong Curry Prawns....yummy!!!!! We always stop by at this shop whenever We are on the way back to KL from an outstation drives.
Here's the restaurant's name if you guys happens to be passing by Ulu Yam Lama town.Although the place is famous for the Loh Mee...but that dish is a must!! A Must!!!

By the time we finishes our meal....wwe heads off, trying to get to KL town for another wedding .But once I've reached Kampung Choh,we we caught in the infamous Rawang 2km jam....WTF.This is what I hate abut city life. There were a lot of inconsiderate drivers that trying to cut the ques reaching the Rawang town...bastards. Where are the Traffic Police when needed.Impatients drivers always pissed me off.

By the time I reached KL town , near Padang Merbok Goverment Quarters It's already 8.30pm.I called my friend, even though I missed his wedding dinner. He was so happy. He is one of those guys that I missed so much from my kampung days. We chatted and we keep telling his wife that we were so crazy whenever we went camping at Bukit Merah Lake area.
The wife is so generous, she serves my family and me the Kuih Muih( cakes and desserts)
.I was reluctant to leave but its getting late.I told my friend that we will definately plan a trip back top the island weher we always go camping. We shook hands and hugged each other like never letting go of each other. aaahh...it's good to see him again.

It's exactly 10.35pm when I reached home.I keep telling my wife that one day,I would love to take my son camping back at Bukit Merah.I wanna let him know that he shud learn how to fend for himself when ther's hard time.Learn to know and respect other races customs and cultures.

Thats how I spent my Sunday with my family,A Proton Savvy which is never boring,Two wedding ,good drives 567kmh to be exact, cooling places, sunny blue sky, good meals. What more can I ask for..??
The beautiful country roads..leading to places that reminds me of days in the 80s.
I'm looking forward to spent this kind of day with my driving buddies... what surprises me most was how I am able to spent 2 hours on my desk, writing my adventures with my family.

TK,
Maybe you and the guys,Yeap,Elaine and his boy boy,Wei Li.We go whitewater rafting at Kuala Kubu Bahru and we drives up Fraser Hill.Spend the night up there and drive back via Raub .That will be fun,Don't you think??
